Beautiful Spanish wedding venue for Carla & Sinead – Hacienda la Almoguera
After a slow start to the 2021 wedding season, we were all beginning to worry. Then, all of a sudden, travel restrictions loosened, Covid rules relaxed and things began to move. The desire to celebrate love and be with friends and family began to take over and weddings were back on! Carla & Sinead contacted us full of optimism and excitement – they had already found an amazing place for their wedding and wanted to get moving with the food and decor. As wedding venues in Spain go, Hacienda La Almoguera is not widely known. But it should be in our opinion. Founded in 1797 by the Larios family, the estate continues to be owned and managed by the sixth generation of the family. In 2004 the Hacienda was fully-renovated and the events salon was built to allow for high-end social and business events and wedding hire.
Traditional style
The Hacienda has a beautiful inner courtyard, impressive facade and several indoor and outdoor areas for larger and smaller events. Carla & Sinead wanted a rustic feel to their day and chose our popular wooden tabes and Crossback chairs, with simple greenery and vintage glasses.
Wedding Catering
The ever-popular tapas and paella menu was a hit with the guests and provided the informal, family feel this couple were looking for. This menu works well as the shared platters of tapas are a great way to socialise and break the ice, and the paellas are cooked live in front of the guests in a theatre of Spanish gastronomy. All tastes are catered for with seafood, chicken & vegan paellas.
Covid Restrictions
Covid was at the back of everyone’s minds as outdoor weddings had very few restrictions by October this year. Masks were not obligatory in an outdoor venue and dancing under the stars in the open air was allowed. All Fiestasol staff wore masks and kept the kitchen and service areas highly sanitised. Everyone was over the moon to be celebrating this lovely couple´s marriage at this beautiful wedding venue in Spain.
